Actress Eva Green talks 300 sequel

In an interview with MTV news, actress Eva Green talks about her character "Artemisia" in the upcoming 300 sequel titled: "300: Battle of Artemisia," and will be directed by Noam Murro and will be a prequel based on the Frank Miller works.

Green references that her character Artemisia was a historical figure, stating: "Oh yeah, I’m playing Artemisia. She really existed actually. She was commander on a boat, of a whole Armada." Green also adds she’s a very ballsy character, she’s almost like a man, so that’s fun...It’s my first action film, it’s going to be a challenge, lots of training."



Actor Rodrigo Santoro reprises his "300" role King Xerxes and is joined by Sullivan Stapleton as Themistocles and Callan Mulvey.

300: Battle of Artemisia is scheduled to hit the big screen August 2, 2013. with Noam Murro at the helm and written by "300" director Zack Snyder and Kurt Johnstad, based on the graphic novel from Frank Miller.
