Lee Newton is a comedian who mainly performs improvisation and short skits. She is a performer at The Gym Comedy group, and is alumni of The Groundlings. Newton studied theatre in college after receiving a theatre directed scholarship. However, she is best known for being a full time co-host of the YouTube news channel SourceFed.
Lee Newton was raised in Yosemite Village, California, She believes that she is 'a blend of her Father's wit and sarcasm and her Mother's absolute absurdity. She also has a brother and a sister. On March 2nd 2012, a video was posted to her brother, Jake Newton's YouTube page of a song cover of Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody'. This video currently has over 24,100 views. Lee was born with a congenital heart defect, which means she was born with a backwards heart, missing chambers and missing arteries. She had a heart transplant at the age of seven, and has been given 4 open heart surgeries at the ages of 14 days old, 13 months old, 7 years old and 13 years old. Due to this, Newton has often said that she always persuades people to become organ donors.
