SESAME STREET movie in the works!!!

Sesame Street, the classic Kids tv show from all our childhood  is returning to the big screen thanks to 20th Century Fox.
20th Century Fox has picked up the movie rights to the television show. Joe Mazzarino, a longtime writer on the series, has been tapped to write it.

The new movie will be produced by Shawn Levy, who directed the blockbuster hit: "Night at the Museum" starring Ben Stiller.

This will be the 3rd Sesame Street movie following 1985's "Follow That Bird" (my personal favorite) and 1999's "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland." (didn't know that existed lol)

The series "Sesame Street" debuted in 1969 and has aired more than 4,300 episodes. It is best known for creations of the late puppeteer Jim Henson including Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, Oscar the Grouch and Elmo.

Templar Note: I am super stoked of this announcement, I grew up watching Sesame Street...hell next to GI Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters. Sesame Street pretty much taught me how to speak and talk english lol. I hope this movie gets done soon and that all children of this generation especially in this age of social media, video games, and music can learn the way we all did when we were kids.
